Kommen: Uber Passengers Can Schedule Uber Ahead Everywhere

It’s almost impossible to keep up with all the conveniences Uber offers its users. You can request a ride from the comfort of your couch and have a driver arrive at your doorstep. Uber drivers can drive on their own schedule and earn as much as they want without limits. If you can’t afford to purchase your own vehicle, you can sign up to drive for an Uber partner or Uber fleet owner. Otherwise, you are your own boss and get to keep all your earnings after paying a small commission to Uber.

Uber continues to meet customer requirements. Bear in mind that both drivers and passengers are Uber’s customers. Uber passengers have requested that some services be incorporated into the app and Uber has tried its best to meet these desires. Recently, Uber announced it will be introducing the tipping feature to the app which will allow Uber passengers tip Uber drivers. This has been a major bone of contention between Uber and its drivers.

Uber introduced the Schedule Uber feature into its app and Uber passengers were able to Schedule Uber ahead of when they needed it. This feature was active in some Uber cities but not all. In order to overcome this shortcoming, the Kommen app was developed. Kommen app developers did not seek to target just cities where the Schedule Uber feature wasn’t active but to also help busy people have a better handle on their itinerary better.

So how does Kommen work?

The kommen app is a standalone app that helps Uber users in all Uber cities schedule rides ahead of time. You can schedule rides from 15 minutes to 30 days ahead. Uber passengers can also schedule up to 5 rides at once.
Below, we have a clear step-by-step breakdown on how to use the Kommen app to schedule your Uber rides: 

• Download Kommen

If you haven’t already downloaded Kommen, download the Kommen app from the Google Play store here. For now, the Kommen app is only available for Android users. Visit www.trykommen.com/ 

• Sign in with your Uber account

If you are not already signed in, you just need to sign in once to Kommen with your Uber account, so we can call rides on your behalf. 

• Open the Kommen App

You should be on the “Scheduled Ubers” screen now. 

• Click the “+” sign at the top right of the App

To schedule Uber using the “New Uber Form” click on the + sign.                                     

• Fill out the “New Uber Form”

1. Fill out the following :
2. Pickup Location
3. Destination
4. Uber Type: (UberX, UberBlack, UberGo, and UberPool are some of the available options, depending on your pickup location). 

• Click Schedule Later

To schedule Uber, click on the scheduled later button. 

• Select Pickup time and date

To pre book Uber, select your pickup time and date, and you are almost done. 

• Select your Backup Ride

If you don’t have it saved in your settings, you have to select a backup ride, otherwise you just need to click “Confirm Uber” and your scheduled Uber should arrive at your selected date and time
